Boron Nitride Hardcoat is the only truly abrasion-resistant boron nitride coating available. Hardcoat, which is applied exactly like housepaint, provides a surface that acts like Teflon in that molten aluminum, magnesium and their drosses will not react nor adhere. Ideal for high-wear uses where all other boron nitride coatings fail.
Recommended Uses: Ladles, Skimmers, Melting Pots, Immersion Tubes, Transition Plates, Caster Tips, Troughs, Molds, Dross Buggies, Shot Screens, Stalk Tubes, Funnels.
Works with Aluminum, Magnesium, Cast Iron, Cast Steel.
Depending on individual usage and procedures; recoating can occur every 1 - 2 weeks rather than 1 - 2 days; use 1 gallon of Hardcoat rather than 20 gallons of a 'low cost' coating.
Use Instructions: DO NOT DILUTE, Resuspend the paint, Clean surface of oils, dirt, scale, etc., Apply 2 to 3 thin layers by brush or spray, Allow to thoroughly dry between coats and before use.
1800 deg F maximum constant temperature.
